Incredible as it may be, some folks are shoving off the responsibility for Katrina on the source (for Christians) of all love, compassion, and mercy ("God gave us this disaster."). Give me a break! Better yet, give God a break. When I read statements like these, I am reminded of the most poignant writing to come out of the post-September 11 period, this piece from The Onion.
